Ardyth Sobyak is an award winning watercolor artist whose paintings are exhibited in numerous juried and invitational exhibitions, in private and corporate collections, and in local galleries. Her art has been featured in solo shows at Jenkins Arboretum, Beaumont at Bryn Mawr, Springton Lakes Village, The Bryn Mawr Racquet Club, Granite Farms Gallery, The Great Frame Up, Paoli Hospital Cancer Center and Rosemont Presbyterian Village.
In addition to commissioned work, she has also instructed workshops for the Radnor School District’s Arts Week. She is a member of the Philadelphia Watercolor Society, the Wayne Art Center, the Wallingford Art Center, the Norristown Art League, the Main Line Art Center, and the Delaware Valley Art League where she serves on the Board of Directors. Her design was chosen for a watering can for the Jenkins Arboretum 30th Anniversary Enormous Watering Can Exhibition where it is a permanent sculpture. She has also painted a Nittany Lion for the Penn State Brandywine 40th Anniversary Exhibition.
Ardyth is an avid gardener whose gardens have been featured in Main Line Spring Garden Tours. She is a past president and current member of the Board of the Old Eagle Garden Club, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society. She is a blue ribbon winner in design and an award winner in horticulture at the Philadelphia International Flower Show where she, with her daughter, volunteer as artistic clerks. Ardyth extends her love of horticulture to her passion for painting flowers, vegetables and landscapes. She is an exhibition judge, and teaches water color techniques to both adults and children in her studio.
